This distinction, awarded on march 27, 2026, highlights the efforts made to ensure adequate, safe, and accessible spaces, specifically designed for the well-being of families passing through this important border crossing.
The certification recognizes conditions that promote a more comfortable and orderly experience for users, including children, seniors, and families. This is particularly important during Holy Week, when there is a significant increase in the flow of people entering and leaving the country, mainly due to its strategic connection with Guatemala.
One of the key factors in earning this recognition is the quality of service provided by immigration staff. Officers play a vital role by offering a personalized, efficient, and respectful service, ensuring that every traveler is treated with dignity. This work is carried out continuously, with service available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
