A total of US$400,000 in asset value has been recovered for salvadoran families thanks to the delivery of property deeds by the Ministry of Housing today in San Vicente, Santa Ana, and South San Salvador. This action represents a direct economic impact for the beneficiary households and strengthens their long-term financial security.
Housing minister Michelle Sol explained that each plot of land has an estimated value of US$10,000, allowing 40 families to legally consolidate assets they were unable to secure for decades. These properties are in the Navarra II subdivision in San Vicente; the San Martín subdivision in Chalchuapa, Santa Ana; and the Las Hadas subdivision in Santo Tomás, South San Salvador.

From an economic perspective, the regularization of these properties transforms informal assets into legally recognized property, opening access to credit, secure inheritance for future generations, and greater financial stability. For over 40 years, families had paid for their plots of land without legal backing, limiting their ability to use these properties as collateral or investment.
The recovery of this economic value was made possible through the coordinated efforts of state institutions such as the Procuraduría General de la República (PGR), Fiscalía General de la República (FGR), Centro Nacional de Registros (CNR) and Defensoría del Consumidor, which intervened to facilitate pending legal processes.

Housing Minister Michelle Sol emphasized that these actions are part of a public policy aimed at correcting historical injustices and placing state resources at the service of the population. Beyond the delivery of documents, the process represents tangible economic restitution, strengthening family assets and contributing to the social and economic development of the beneficiary communities.
With the delivery of deeds, the Government ensures that the efforts of these families translate into stability, legal certainty, and real economic value, laying a solid foundation for the well-being of future generations.
