The Instituto Nacional de los Deportes de El Salvador (INDES), in collaboration with Two Shows Sports, proudly announces the event called “El Salvador Open 2024: Legends on the Court”, an event that will mark a before and after in the national sport.
This tournament will feature the participation of international tennis stars and will be a unique opportunity for salvadorans to enjoy the highest competitive level in their own land.
The main attraction of this activity will be the presence of salvadoran tennis player Marcelo Arévalo, athlete of the Esfuerzo y Gloria Program and first Central American to win a Grand Slam tournament. Alongside him will be three of the partners who have been fundamental in his career:
- Miguel Ángel Reyes-Varela (Mexico): partner with whom Marcelo started his path to success in 2017, reaching together the Top 100 of the ATP ranking.
- Jean-Julian Rojer (Netherlands): Partner with whom he conquered Roland Garros 2022, an unprecedented milestone for the region.
- Mate Pavic (Croatia): Current partner with whom he reached number one in the world ranking and achieved a historic second victory at Roland Garros 2024, in addition to five other titles in the same year.
The matches will be held at the Gimnasio Nacional Adolfo Pineda, following the international regulations of tennis federations, during two days: Saturday, december 14, at 5:30 p.m., and sunday, december 15, at 11:00 a.m. This historic event is sponsored by SISTEMA FEDECREDITO, and Claro El Salvador.
With the support of INDES and the experience of more than 30 years of Two Shows in the field of entertainment, this event will also have the collaboration of the Tennis Federation of El Salvador, whose supervision guarantees quality and compliance with technical standards.
