dinero_admin The Minister of Housing of El Salvador, Michelle Sol, delivered property deeds to 40 families in San Martin, San Salvador East, marking an investment of US$18,000 in the legalization process. This government action seeks to guarantee the right to decent housing, putting an end to decades of uncertainty for the beneficiaries.
This delivery is part of an ongoing effort by the current administration to provide legal security to thousands of Salvadorans. Minister Sol emphasized that not only a document is delivered, but also hope and security to these families who now have the legal certainty of their homes.
Of the total number of families benefited, 28 were resettled in the La Bretaña Housing Complex. Another 10 families come from the Milagro de Dios community and two from the 15 de Septiembre community, all of them from sectors neighboring the La Bretaña farm, achieving a secure solution.
The official explained that 58% of the deeds were registered in favor of women, highlighting the positive impact on them. Thanks to these efforts, more than 90,000 families throughout the territory have recovered an investment of more than US$900,000,000 in legalizations and deeds.
Juan Francisco Escoba, a beneficiary, shared his gratitude, mentioning how President Bukele has helped them with decent housing after a flood in 2020. These initiatives demonstrate the Government’s comprehensive approach to settling historical debts with the population.
