The Minister of Labor, Rolando Castro, announced the implementation of “Employment Mondays”, an initiative that will take place every week with the objective of connecting job seekers with companies that require talent. This program seeks to strengthen access to job opportunities for salvadorans, generating stability and development for many families.

Through this strategy, the Ministry of Labor reaffirms its commitment to promote job placement and reduce unemployment in the country. The Ministry’s Employment Exchange continues to be a key tool in this process, collaborating with numerous companies to facilitate the placement of workers in formal and stable jobs.
The launching of “Employment Mondays” follows the great success of the National Call for Employment, an event that connected hundreds of salvadorans with decent job opportunities. On that occasion, the focus was to help two sectors of the population that face greater difficulties in finding employment: those over 40 years of age and young people looking for their first work experience.

Minister Castro emphasized that generating employment not only transforms the lives of those who obtain a job, but also improves the well-being of their families and contributes to the country’s development. Each formal job provides stability, access to employment benefits and the opportunity for a better future for thousands of salvadorans.
With these initiatives, the Ministry of Labor continues working to build a more inclusive and dynamic labor market. The commitment to employability and the generation of opportunities demonstrates the Government’s commitment to improve the quality of life of the population and strengthen the national economy.
