The Ministry of Labor continues to strengthen strategic sectors to boost the national economy, being tourism one of the main engines of employment generation and development. Through public investment projects and international promotion, El Salvador has managed to attract visitors, capital and confidence in its tourism offer.
In this context, the head of the ministry of Labor of El Salvador, Rolando Castro, highlighted the positive impact on the creation of direct and indirect jobs, especially in areas such as construction and hospitality, sectors that accompany the growth of tourism infrastructure in different regions of the country.

“The sectors that have greater job creation are construction, as well as the hotel chain and this has to do with the momentum being generated by the Government of President Nayib Bukele in the tourism sector”, said the minister of Labor, Rolando Castro, referring to the results that are being obtained in terms of generating job opportunities.

As part of these actions to expand employment opportunities for salvadorans, the minister of Labor also highlighted the incorporation of France to the Labor Migration program and the departure of the first contingent of workers to that European nation for this thursday, july 10.
“To France we send motorists of vehicles and trucks, as well as technicians, mechanics and a good part of farmers. Some are on 6-month to 24-month contracts and others on indefinite contracts. This is the first country to sign such contracts”, the minister said.

France thus becomes the fifth partner country of this program, joining the United States, Canada, Costa Rica, and Spain. This initiative allows salvadorans to have access to decent, secure, and legally backed jobs. More than 12,000 people have already benefited from this program.

The Government of El Salvador reaffirms its commitment to continue expanding this labor policy, opening more doors for the personal and family development of salvadorans.
