The Minister of Labor, Rolando Castro, announced a revolution in labor inspection processes, leaving behind traditional methods and adopting technological tools to ensure greater transparency and efficiency. This modernization represents a significant advance in the protection of labor rights in El Salvador.

Castro recalled that, until 2019, inspectors made their reports on sheets of paper and wooden boards, which facilitated the manipulation and loss of information. To eradicate these obsolete practices, the Ministry has implemented electronic tablets with digital signature, which will allow recording each inspection in real time and avoid any alteration of the data.

In addition, this technological transformation allows remote and real-time control of inspections, ensuring that any irregularities detected can be addressed immediately. “This will allow us to detect any anomaly in seconds”, said the minister, underlining the positive impact of the initiative on worker protection.
With this advance, El Salvador strengthens transparency and efficiency in the enforcement of labor regulations. Companies will be subject to a more rigorous and fairer monitoring, which will guarantee respect for the rights of employees and foster a culture of compliance in the business sector.

The Ministry of Labor thus reaffirms its commitment to modernization and the defense of labor rights, consolidating a more agile, secure, and reliable inspection system. This initiative marks a milestone in the country’s labor history, ensuring that the processes are fairer and more effective for all salvadoran workers.
