A. M. El Salvador marks a milestone in its labor migration program by sending the first group of workers to the Bocas del Ródano region, France. This initiative, announced by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, seeks to expand economic opportunities for salvadorans.
The minister of Labor, Rolando Castro, emphasized the importance of this first contingent, noting that its success will open doors for future shipments. The workers will travel on a variety of contracts, from six months to indefinite terms, guaranteeing stability and new job prospects.
A notable new feature of this program is the indefinite-term work visas, an unprecedented modality that allows workers to return to El Salvador during their vacations. This benefit represents a significant advance in immigration conditions.
The group includes salvadorans from ten departments, with skills in technical trades such as masonry, mechanics, agriculture, and driving. This diversity of profiles ensures a response to the needs of the French labor market, strengthening the bilateral relationship.
