The executive director of the Consejo de Alcaldes del Área Metropolitana de San Salvador (COAMSS-OPAMSS), Luis Rodríguez, presented a live demonstration of NIX 2, the second phase of an artificial intelligence-based tool designed to strengthen investor decision-making and expand the strategic capabilities of the private sector.
During the presentation, Rodríguez explained that this new version incorporates tools for conducting market analysis, evaluating external assets for projects, performing socioeconomic analysis, identifying investment potential, and carrying out pre-feasibility processes. With this information, investors can gain a broader perspective before deciding where and how to develop a project.
According to Rodríguez, NIX 2 will function as a kind of investment advisor, integrating different variables that can influence a project’s viability and potential. The tool aims to make decisions more precisely and supported by strategic information about the territory and market conditions.

The presentation took place during the opening of the Foro Territorios+, with the support of the Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID). The initiative aims to create spaces for analyzing new tools and strategies related to territorial development and investment.
Rodríguez pointed out that NIX 2 can be used regardless of the type of project being developed, and its application seeks to benefit various sectors of the private sector. The goal is to use technology to improve the preliminary analysis of investments and facilitate more strategic planning.
COAMSS-OPAMSS suggests that artificial intelligence can become a support tool for infrastructure development and territorial planning. NIX 2 joins the efforts to incorporate technological tools that allow for better use of available information and strengthen the private sector’s capacity to identify new investment opportunities.
