The Oficina de Planificación del Área Metropolitana de San Salvador (OPAMSS) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) have established a technical roundtable with the objective of analyzing strategic infrastructure projects in La Libertad Sur and La Libertad Costa Surf City. This initiative seeks to evaluate the impact of current and projected investments, with a focus on sustainable development and urban planning.
During the first session of this technical roundtable, key aspects such as soil geomorphology, business model opportunities and urban planning in strategic areas were discussed. These assessments will allow the design of efficient strategies to enhance economic growth and improve the quality of life in these regions.
Luis Rodríguez, Executive Director of the Council of Mayors and OPAMSS, highlighted the importance of this collaboration with the IDB, which will strengthen decision-making based on data and technical studies. He also said that this initiative will facilitate the attraction of new investments that will contribute to the development of the Metropolitan Area of San Salvador.
With this technical meeting, OPAMSS and IDB reinforce their commitment to the orderly and sustainable growth of the territory, aligning efforts with the public and private sector to consolidate La Libertad as a strategic development pole in El Salvador.
