The General Directorate of Energy, Hydrocarbons and Mines informed about the new prices of propane gas cylinders for August 2024 in El Salvador, maintaining the same prices of july.
The Institution also stated that it will continue inspecting the compliance of prices and the correct weight of the cylinders in all points of sale nationwide, taking care of the population’s pocket.
The price of the gas drums are as follows: the 35-pound cylinder will cost US$15.50 with general subsidy and US$7.46 with targeted subsidy; the 25-pound drum will cost US$11.13 with general subsidy and US$3.09 with targeted subsidy.
Likewise, the 20-pound drum will be priced at US$8.98 with general subsidy and US$0.94 with targeted subsidy, and the 10-pound drum will cost US$4.61 with general subsidy and at no cost with targeted subsidy.
The maintenance of prices by the government and the subsidy are measures that have been taken to save the finances of salvadorans.
