
In light of the Christmas and New Year celebrations, the Banco Central de Reserva de El Salvador (BCR) and Ministerio de Trabajo announced special operating hours and continued service during the holiday period to ensure service for the public and the country’s productive sector.
The BCR reported that its offices will be closed on thursday, december 25, for Christmas, and on wednesday, january 1, for New Year’s. However, the institution assured the public that its main digital platforms will remain operational without interruption during the holidays.
The Transfer365, Transfer365 Mobile, and Transfer365 Business services will be available as usual, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, allowing users to make electronic transfers without interruption. Similarly, the Sistema de Facilitación de Comercio Exterior (SFCE), Sistema Integrado de Comercio Exterior (SICEX) and Gestor Documental will continue to operate 24/7, without interruption.
Regarding in-person services, the Banco Central specified that on december 26, 29, and 30, 2025, services will be available during regular hours, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in designated areas. In the Juan Pablo II building, the following services will be available: international operations, foreign trade, services for exporters, importers, and international freight carriers, electronic signatures, as well as mail reception and delivery.

In the Centro building, the Sistema Nacional de Pagos (LBTR), the Sistema de Compensación de Cheques, the supply and receipt of currency for banks, and the collection of suspected counterfeit banknotes will remain operational, also during regular business hours.
Likewise, the Oficina Nacional de Estadística y Censos (ONEC) will continue processing the tax clearance certificate for companies registering statistical information, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Banco Central (BCR) clarified that all other services will be closed from wednesday, december 24, 2025, to friday, january 2, 2026, resuming normal operations thereafter.
The Ministry of Labor announced that its Call Center 130 will continue providing service during the holiday period on december 26, 29, and 30, as well as on january 2, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. In addition, the public can make inquiries through the numbers 2529-3700 and 2529-3800, which will be available on the same dates.
These measures aim to facilitate the planning of procedures and inquiries during the year-end period, ensuring the continuity of essential services and access to service channels for citizens during the holiday season.
