The Escuela de Especialización para la Construcción de la Dirección de Obras Municipales (EEC) graduated its sixth class of young people, trained in nine specialties to become skilled labor, for their welfare, that of their families and the development of the country.

With this new promotion, the EEC has reached more than 2,470 graduates in specialties such as: bench mechanics, masonry, electricity, carpentry, plumbing, drywall installation, ceramic veneer, machinery operation and topography.

The training, totally free of charge, lasted three months and was given by experts from the Armed Forces Engineering Command. These trainings took place at the 14 EEC sites, one for each department of the country, with schedules from monday to friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

In this sixth class, nearly 400 students graduated, acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge and key skills to enter the labor market. Thanks to this training, the graduates will now be able to work in the DOM, in private companies or, if they prefer, to be self-employed.

This initiative is part of the Territorial Control Plan, phase II called “Opportunities”, promoted by the government to prepare, professionalize and offer real employment options to salvadoran youth.

The young people expressed their satisfaction with the solid training received, which will enable them to take advantage of the various opportunities in the labor market.
