dinero_admin As part of the commemoration of International Women’s Day, Banco CUSCATLAN is proud to illuminate the emblematic Torre Cuscatlán in purple for another year, as a symbol of support for the struggle for gender equality, and in recognition of the invaluable contribution of women in all areas of salvadoran society.
This symbolic gesture adds to the continuous actions of the entity, both external and internal, to empower women and support them in their professional and business development. For this reason, during the month of march, the institution will carry out various activities that promote coworking spaces such as personalized mentoring between bank leaders and SME clients, as well as talks focused on empowerment and overcoming limiting beliefs for female collaborators.

During the event, José Eduardo Luna, executive director of Banco CUSCATLAN presented the recognition as CUSCATLAN 2025 Businesswoman to Yolanda Salazar, director of the National Center for Cleaner Production, who has promoted sustainability and corporate responsibility through the implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects; Luz María Portillo, executive director of the Asociación Bancaria Salvadoreña, ABANSA, as promoter of Equality and Financial Inclusion of Women 2025, for her unconditional support for the creation of spaces and development of financial products with a gender and SME perspective; and as CUSCATLAN 2025 Woman, Sylvia Morán, assistant manager of Business Services of the Bank, who with her leadership and work from the Corporate Banking segment, represents the effort and commitment of the more than 1,600 women collaborators of the institution.
For 2025, the United Nations commemorates International Women’s Day with the theme “For women and girls in all their diversity: Rights, equality and empowerment”, representing a call to action that can expand equal rights, power and opportunities for all, and a future in which no one is left behind.
