The initiative, developed together with Glasswing International, seeks to strengthen learning in key areas such as Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM), with a practical and inclusive approach. Chevron promotes STEAM learning, benefiting six schools in the departments of San Salvador and Sonsonate. In 2025, a new center has been added: the Centro Escolar República de Canadá, located in the Las Palmas Community, thus expanding the geographic scope of the program.

The participating centers are: Centro Escolar General Ramón Belloso, Centro Escolar República de Canadá, Complejo Educativo Capitán General Gerardo Barrios, Centro Escolar Pedro Pablo Castillo, Complejo Educativo René Armando Arce Suárez and Complejo Educativo Ingeniero Rodolfo Enrique Varela Manzano.

This year, Chevron strengthened its Energiza tu Escuela program with the donation of educational robotics kits, integrating programming, design, science, and engineering in six schools. Teachers who lead active clubs with 150 students were trained, while another 700 students have benefited from the kits in their classes. In addition, more than 300 family leaders participated in workshops on digital citizenship, social networking, and cybersecurity.

“We believe in the transformative power of education and how technology can open doors to a brighter future. We are excited to see students apply their knowledge in real life, while developing key skills for their growth”, said Miguel Ramos, Country Manager of Chevron El Salvador.

The Robotics Fair 2025 is the space where students demonstrate what they have learned through two challenges: designing autonomous robots to fulfill missions and proposing robotic solutions to real problems. Both will be evaluated by robotics experts and judges from the National Olympics.

“Robotics awakens creativity, teamwork and scientific curiosity. This fair is the reflection of months of dedication from students, teachers and communities who believe in meaningful, quality education”, said Natalia Salcedo, Country Director of Glasswing International.

Over the years, Energiza tu Escuela has benefited nearly 52,000 students and 1,300 teachers. Among the program’s achievements are the strengthening of digital, technical, and mechanical skills; the understanding of the principles of electronics, sensors, motors, and structures; the development of critical thinking, problem solving and creativity; as well as an increase in motivation for careers related to science, technology, and engineering.

For more than 15 years, Texaco has promoted social responsibility initiatives focused on education, community development and equal opportunities. Energiza tu Escuela reflects that commitment, generating direct impact and inspiration for thousands of salvadoran students, teachers and families.
