CMI, Corporación Multi Inversiones, promotes sustainable development in El Salvador through a business strategy that integrates sustainability as a key pillar of the business. True to its purpose of generating, with family warmth, opportunities that change lives, the company has implemented several innovative actions focused on environmental protection.

This strong commitment has been recognized nationally. In 2025, CMI received the CRESA Award for Sustainable and Innovative Salvadoran Industry, granted by the Asociación Salvadoreña de Industriales (ASI) for its outstanding work in reducing more than 364,000 tons of CO₂ between 2019 and 2023. That same year, it also received an honorable mention from the Oficina de Planificación del Área Metropolitana de San Salvador (OPAMSS), in recognition of its environmental contribution.

One of the central axes of its work is carbon neutral certification. Between 2019 and 2023, the company managed to avoid the emission of 364,047 tons of CO₂ in the country, thanks to processes for measuring, reducing and offsetting greenhouse gases. It currently has two carbon neutral certifications in its flour mill and animal feed plant.
In the area of recycling and the circular economy, CMI has exported more than 1,150 tons of waste oil and lard from its Don Pollo and Pollo Campero brands to Europe to be transformed into biodiesel. In addition, as part of World Recycling Day, it collected more than 2,727 pounds of reused uniforms to make mattresses and soundproofing fabrics, avoiding emissions equivalent to the planting of 130 trees.

As part of its community impact actions, during the month of june it carried out reforestation and environmental volunteering activities with the delivery of more than 600 trees in areas such as Cuscatlán Norte and Cuscatlán Sur. These activities involve employees, neighboring communities, and strategic allies of the company.
In terms of renewable energy, CMI has installed more than 7,800 solar panels at different facilities in the country, including its recent solar system at the restaurant distribution center, which contributes approximately 15% of the site’s energy consumption.
With these initiatives, CMI reaffirms its vision of the future, oriented toward responsible business development that benefits the environment and improves the quality of life of the people, their families, and the communities where it operates.
