The general director of the Autoridad de Competencia y Habilitación (ACH), Adriana Larín, reported in a recent interview that, so far this year, more than 30 establishments have been inaugurated that have successfully completed all the procedures required to operate formally in the country.
According to Larín, this growth reflects positive momentum in economic activity, driven in part by more streamlined processes and close support from the institution. The ACH has strengthened its role as a facilitator for new businesses, offering advice and technical assistance from the start of the process to the obtaining of permits and licenses.

This comprehensive support, he said, reduces time, costs, and barriers for entrepreneurs and businesses, allowing more commercial projects to start operations within the legal framework and with greater guarantees for their development.
The opening of these new establishments not only contributes to economic formalization, but also generates employment, boosts the supply of goods and services, and stimulates private investment in different areas.
Progress in business licensing processes is a key factor in strengthening confidence in the productive sector and promoting a more competitive environment conducive to the country’s economic growth.
