
Costa Piera announces the launch of Barista Bot by Costa Piera, prepared by Barista Bot, the first robot barista in Central America— a milestone that places El Salvador at the forefront of coffee innovation. With the slogan “Golden beans from El Salvador to elevate your days with specialty coffee,” the brand reaffirms its commitment to sharing the very best of the land of volcanoes with the world: sublime coffee, vibrant culture, and technology that honors tradition.

Costa Piera was born as a tribute to El Salvador— a small yet powerful land, rich in culture, devoted to hard work, and home to the country’s most precious treasure: the golden bean. Its farms—El Mercurio, La Dalia, San Antonio, and Santa Teresa—are located in the Apaneca-Llamatepec Mountain Range along the Ruta de las Flores, where for more than six generations the Guillen family has cultivated shade-grown specialty coffee at elevations above 1,200 meters.
The new Barista Bot by Costa Piera arrives with an accessible and diverse menu, offering beverages starting at US$1.50 for espresso and US$1.75 for Americanos, along with a variety of lattes, cappuccinos, and mochas ranging from US$2.75 to US$3.25, available hot or iced. The menu also includes signature options such as vanilla, caramel, and almond lattes, matcha with espresso, as well as non-coffee drinks like chai latte, chocolate, matcha latte, and seasonal editions such as the Mokka Peppermint Latte. Extras like cinnamon, cocoa, Oreo, and sprinkles are also available.

Barista Bot by Costa Piera was trained to prepare these beverages with expert precision, faithfully replicating recipes developed by local baristas. In doing so, Costa Piera demonstrates that tradition can coexist with innovation: today, its specialty beans are served both by human hands and cutting-edge technology, ensuring consistency and quality in every cup.

The brand maintains a philosophy deeply rooted in quality. Each bean is hand-selected and processed using natural and honey methods, which reduce water usage, enhance the coffee’s sweet notes, and promote sustainable practices.
Additionally, shade-grown cultivation allows for slower fruit maturation, preserves primary forests, and protects the biodiversity of the farms.

Barista Bot by Costa Piera uses the brand’s flagship coffee, Blend Honey, to prepare its beverages, featuring notes of hazelnut, milk chocolate, caramel, mandarin, and lime. This blend represents the warm, caramelized, and chocolate-forward profile that characterizes Salvadoran coffee in international markets.
Costa Piera also honors the labor and dedication of Salvadorans. During harvest season, it employs around 300 local workers and maintains more than 60 permanent jobs throughout the year, reinforcing its mission to support national labor and the economic sustainability of the coffee-growing region.
