With the firm commitment to building a safer, more conscious, and more committed society with a focus on sustainability, Fundación MAPFRE officially launched its new campaign, “Planeta ODS 2025: Movilidad Segura, Sana y Sostenible”. The initiative seeks to educate, raise awareness, and mobilize the salvadoran population—especially children, youth, teachers, and families—to foster a true culture of road safety and responsible use of public spaces.

“Planeta ODS 2025”: represents an innovative evolution in the Foundation’s educational programs. Inspired by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the campaign is structured around an interactive universe where learning takes place through play, gamification, and active participation. From may to august, the campaign will tour different areas of the country, including San Salvador, Santa Ana, Cojutepeque, Quezaltepeque, Sensuntepeque, and La Libertad.
“Road safety is not just an individual responsibility; it is a collective endeavor. With Planet SDGs, we seek to develop conscious citizens from childhood, because every decision we make on public roads can save a life”, said Gerardo Smart, CEO of MAPFRE and representative of Fundación MAPFRE.
One of the central pillars of this campaign is the PAS Protocol (Protect, Warn, and Assist), which teaches how to act in the event of a road accident, promoting the correct response for both victims and witnesses. Furthermore, the campaign openly rejects risky practices such as reckless driving and cell phone use while driving, promoting zero tolerance for these behaviors.

The “Planet SDG 2025” activities include:
• Educational talks in schools and communities.
• Gymkhanas with themed stations on pedestrian safety, driver responsibility, safe bicycle use, and the PAS protocol.
• Workshops and games at home to integrate families into the educational process.
• Interactive materials such as guides, videos, and digital content accessible on the Fundación MAPFRE website.
• Environmental challenges and contests, such as recycling and reforestation campaigns.
In addition, a special drawing was announced among participating schools: two schools will be selected to receive an exclusive visit with recreational and educational activities, the winners of which will be announced on the Foundation’s social media channels.

This campaign, which also marks the commemoration of Fundación MAPFRE’s 50th anniversary, seeks to directly impact thousands of salvadorans, promoting responsible mobility habits that can transcend generations, all for a more humane future.
Fundación MAPFRE’s commitment to El Salvador is reaffirmed with each project. “Planeta ODS 2025” is a commitment to life, education, and a more just and equitable future.

With “Planet SDG 2025,” Fundación MAPFRE reinforces its commitment to education and the well-being of Salvadoran society, promoting transformative initiatives that foster respect, safety, and sustainability as pillars of collective development.
