El Salvador is participating this week in Expo Santa Cruz 2026, one of Bolivia’s premier trade events, with the aim of promoting its export offerings and generating new business opportunities to expand economic exchange with that market.
As part of this participation, the Embassy of El Salvador in Bolivia organized a business promotion event that brought together around 70 bolivian companies and trade associations interested in learning about the opportunities El Salvador offers in trade, investment, and tourism.
The event provided a platform to showcase the country’s potential to the Bolivian business community and opened a space to identify opportunities for commercial partnerships. This initiative seeks to facilitate new contacts between companies from both markets and contribute to a greater presence of Salvadoran products and services in Bolivia.

The gathering was supported by the Cámara Binacional El Salvador–Bolivia, a platform dedicated to leveraging and boosting economic and trade relations between the two nations. Its involvement aims to strengthen business ties and create conditions for more companies to explore exchange opportunities.
In addition to business promotion activities, El Salvador has a stand at Expo Santa Cruz 2026, where three companies owned by the salvadoran diaspora based in Bolivia are showcasing their products and services to visitors and potential clients.
The participating ventures operate across various economic sectors, including salvadoran coffee distribution, the marketing of medical and aesthetic technology, and the provision of educational services. Their presence aims to expand their market share in Bolivia and capitalize on the trade fair’s commercial reach.

The participation of diaspora-owned companies also fosters business connections, demonstrating how salvadorans established in Bolivia can serve as a bridge for marketing national products and services in the country.
“We are here to showcase and position El Salvador as a destination offering great potential for trade, investment, and tourism to the bolivian business community. Likewise, we support and boost ventures launched by our own community”, said Ana Rivas, El Salvador’s diplomatic representative in Bolivia.
Through these initiatives, El Salvador’s presence at Expo Santa Cruz 2026 combines export promotion, business networking, and support for diaspora-led ventures, with the aim of expanding business opportunities and strengthening economic ties between El Salvador and Bolivia.
