The Dirección General de Energía, Hidrocarburos y Minas (DGEHM) informs all salvadorans that the reference fuel prices, effective from august 19 to september 1, 2025, are experiencing mixed trends, influenced by the following international factors:
• Increased oil reserves in the United States, reported by the International Energy Agency (IEA), generated declines in international hydrocarbon prices.
• The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) confirmed an increase of 547,000 barrels per day in oil production for september.
• Expectations of a peace agreement in the geopolitical conflict between Russia and Ukraine, due to a meeting between the US and Russian presidents, are generating a downward trend in international hydrocarbon prices.
