Fuel prices in El Salvador will not change during the two-week period from november 11 to 24, 2025, according to information provided by the Dirección General de Energía, Hidrocarburos y Minas (DGEHM). This means that retail prices will remain the same as those established in the previous two-week period.
Premium gasoline will continue to be sold at US$3.80 per gallon in the central region, US$3.81 in the western region, and US$3.84 in the eastern region. Regular gasoline will remain at US$3.50 in the central region, US$3.51 in the western region, and US$3.54 in the eastern region. Diesel will also maintain its previously established reference prices: US$3.36 for the central region, US$3.37 for the western region, and US$3.41 for the eastern region.
These prices already include applicable taxes, as well as contributions to the Estabilización del Fomento Económico (FEFE), the Contribución al Transporte Público (COTRANS), and the Impuesto Especial a los Combustibles (IEC).

Price stability is partly due to recent international market trends, such as:
• The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) announced a marginal increase of 137,000 barrels per day in December, reflecting caution given the lack of significant growth in global demand projected for 2025.
• The International Energy Agency (IEA) reported a 5.2 million barrel increase in oil reserves, contributing to a more stable outlook for the hydrocarbon market’s supply.

The DGEHM reiterated that it continues to conduct inspections at various service stations to verify that consumers receive the exact volume of fuel at the time of purchase and that it meets the required technical standards. If irregularities are detected during these inspections, the companies involved may face penalties according to current legislation.
