The Comisión Nacional de la Micro y Pequeña Empresa (CONAMYPE) and Corporación Salvadoreña de Turismo (Corsatur) announced the holding of three art and design festivals. This initiative seeks to boost the economy of the artisanal and microenterprise sector nationwide.

In a press conference, CONAMYPE President Paul Steiner highlighted the importance of these activities for the sector and expressed his pride in the official launch of the three festivals, which begin in Suchitoto to coincide with the Indigo Festival.

Steiner emphasized the direct economic impact of these initiatives. “International interest in salvadoran design and creativity is growing. It is important that we become known for our craftsmanship, for our fine work, for the hardworking hands that work in El Salvador”, he said. The official also highlighted a tangible achievement of the strategy: “We have people who previously produced little, and now they are exporting”.

The collaboration between both institutions seeks to consolidate entrepreneurs as key players in the national economy, allowing them to access new markets, attract tourism, and promote the quality of salvadoran production internationally.
