The V Joint Forum of Customs – Regional Private Sector Group of the Americas and the Caribbean was held today, with the objective of continuing to strengthen the ties of cooperation between the public and private sectors, as a key element to promote trade and supply chain security.

The event is attended by the directors of Customs in the region, the private sector, and members of the World Customs Organization, to achieve initiatives that create synergies between the two sectors.
The digitization of customs procedures and how AI helps to process the data generated from foreign trade operations is one of the topics to be developed. In addition, participants will exchange best practices to promote international trade.


The meeting also seeks to further strengthen the relations of customs administrations in the region and the Caribbean, sharing information on experiences and best practices, modernization, and modernization of services.
“As a representative of the Government of President Nayib Bukele, he reaffirmed the facilitating role that corresponds to the State, as well as the joint work with the private sector to create a favorable environment so that companies can develop their operations more agile, generating greater economic activity and investment for our country”, said the minister of Finance, Jerson Posada.
