Fundación Empresarial para la Acción Social (FUNDEMAS) together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is developing SINERGIA LAB 2026, a multi-stakeholder forum that seeks to connect capabilities, knowledge, cooperation, investment, and financing to accelerate initiatives capable of generating economic, social, and environmental impact in El Salvador.
The event also serves as a prelude to Sustainability Week 2026, which FUNDEMAS will hold from october 6 to 9, as one of its main spaces for dialogue and collaboration to promote a business agenda linked to sustainability, competitiveness, and the country’s development.
SINERGIA LAB is based on a central premise: the current challenges of sustainable development require transcending individual efforts and moving toward alliances capable of integrating the strengths of different sectors around common objectives.
“Sustainable development today requires more than just good individual initiatives. We need to connect capabilities, knowledge, investment, and the will to build solutions that can generate impact and scale. SINERGIA LAB seeks precisely to foster these connections and open a conversation that we will continue to deepen during our Sustainability Week in october”, said Tomás Regalado, president of FUNDEMAS.
The event brings together representatives from the Government of El Salvador, international cooperation agencies, multilateral organizations, development banks, businesses, trade associations, civil society organizations, and academia, creating a space to share experiences, identify opportunities, and foster new alliances.

The program begins with the panel “How to Build Effective Alliances for Sustainability” which will analyze, through a concrete example of collaboration, how the government, international cooperation agencies, the private sector, and implementing organizations can combine capabilities, knowledge, resources, and complementary roles to develop initiatives with a broader reach.
Later, the meeting will address investment and financing trends for productive development, as well as the opportunities offered by multilateral banks and financial institutions to transform resources into investment, economic growth, and sustainable impact.
SINERGIA LAB will also present innovative experiences and mechanisms related to sustainable credit, water and sanitation infrastructure, results-based finance, and job creation, demonstrating how different models can connect financial resources with concrete development outcomes.
The day will conclude with a thematic Meet & Greet, designed as a space for direct networking around three areas: environment, sustainable finance, and livelihoods. Its purpose is to facilitate further conversations among participants, identify common interests, and open opportunities for cooperation, investment, and joint projects.

From SINERGIA LAB to Sustainability Week
For FUNDEMAS, SINERGIA LAB represents the beginning of a broader conversation about the role that partnerships, investment, and business action can play in addressing the country’s main development challenges and opportunities.
This agenda will continue during Sustainability Week 2026, which will take place from october 6 to 9 and will once again bring together business leaders, authorities, international organizations, and other strategic stakeholders to delve deeper into the relationship between sustainability, competitiveness, resilience, innovation, and growth.
