Ten salvadoran entrepreneurs from the processed food, beverage, and liquor sectors participated in the EXPHORE 2025 Fair in Costa Rica, one of the leading events in the hospitality and gastronomy sector. The delegation sought to position the country’s exportable products in the Costa Rican market, taking advantage of a space that brings together important international buyers and distributors.

The entrepreneurs, backed by El Salvador’s diplomatic representation in Costa Rica, showcased their products from august 26 to 28 at the Costa Rica Convention Center. Government support is part of the Economic Diplomacy strategies, which seek to strengthen the commercial projection of salvadoran companies abroad.

Among the products being promoted are honey, oral rehydration solution, candies, and a variety of spirits, including whiskey, aguardiente, and flavored vodkas. The participation of these companies has allowed attendees, including chefs and international hotel managers, to experience firsthand the quality and diversity of salvadoran products.

During the fair’s opening, the Embassy of El Salvador in Costa Rica organized a special event called “Tasting of Liquors from El Salvador.” The companies “Destilería Ventura con Whisky” and “Inversiones Montecarlo” stood out in this activity, presenting their specialty beverages to a receptive audience with high purchasing potential.

Participating in this type of event has proven to be an effective strategy for salvadoran companies to make new business contacts and expand their products in the regional market. The reception by attendees, including executives from renowned hotel chains, has been positive.
