The Banco Central de Reserva (BCR) reported that transfers made through Transfer365 for Mother’s Day saw a 236.17% increase in the amounts transferred compared to 2015, reflecting a significant rise in the use of this platform to send money instantly and free of charge during this special day.
According to the institution, between may 1 and 12, US$1.58 million was transferred to salvadoran mothers, a figure that demonstrates greater adoption of the system by users who took advantage of the tool to express their affection through bank transfers.

The BCR also detailed that 15,233 transfers were successfully completed during that period, solidifying Transfer365 as an increasingly popular alternative for Salvadorans to send money quickly, securely, and instantly, without paying additional fees.
As part of the data shared by the entity, it was identified that many of the transfers included messages alluding to the celebration, with terms like “Mom,” “Mother,” and “Happy Day,” reflecting that thousands of people used the service not only as a financial tool but also as a way to connect with their loved ones on this commemorative day.

The Transfer365 system allows for real-time interbank transfers between different financial institutions in the country, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, free of charge for users.
With these results, the BCR highlighted the growing public confidence in digital platforms for everyday banking transactions, especially on special occasions when money transfers between salvadoran families increase.
