Wednesday of Joy with LOTRA Raffle No. 404! A raffle loaded with more than 12,900 prizes up for grabs, bringing joy to countless salvadorans, was dedicated to the family, the foundation of our society, and to the Born with Love Law, a public policy promoted and inspired by the First Lady of the Republic, Gabriela de Bukele, to transform the maternal and child care system in our country.
During the run-up to the raffle, Dr. Jorge Meléndez, Medical Technical Collaborator of the Children’s Unit, shared a message that sums up the spirit of the Law with profound sensitivity:

Therefore, the family is not simply another social structure, but the first home where we learn to live, to trust, to share, and to be. Being Born with Love means that a child is received as a gift, not a burden. It means there are arms waiting for them, a voice calling them by name, an environment that protects them. This basic experience marks the heart forever. The emotional security provided by a loving family has effects that last a lifetime”.
This message clearly reflects the vision of the Born with Love Law, promoted by First Lady Gabriela de Bukele, to guarantee a dignified, safe, and humane birth experience, so that every baby is received with respect and love from the first moment of life.
