The magic of Christmas shines once again in the heart of El Salvador del Mundo for the twelfth consecutive year. San Martín invites all salvadoran families to experience a season filled with hope, unity, and joy with the inauguration of its new 50-meter-tall Christmas Tree, a symbol that celebrates the love and tradition that unite our country.

With a significant investment and months of preparation, San Martín will gift Salvadorans with a new tree featuring a new structure, foliage, and lighting, making it one of the largest and most luminous trees in the region.

The San Martín Tree dazzles with more than half a million lights, filling Plaza Salvador del Mundo with color and excitement. Completely recyclable materials have been used, reducing light pollution by more than 90%.
The materials were imported from Europe, representing an investment of over $700,000, with the aim of giving the country a Christmas spectacle worthy of sharing with family.

The traditional lighting of the Christmas tree will take place this saturday, november 29, at 7:00 p.m. in Plaza Salvador del Mundo.
“For San Martín, Christmas is a time to share, give thanks, and unite salvadoran families. This event represents our desire to keep alive the traditions that fill our country with hope and joy”, said Luis Pedro Ibarra, country manager for San Martín.

The tree’s installation began in october and was completed in november, with the participation of more than 50 people. They were supported by specialists from Spain and Mexico, who dedicated their efforts to making the installation of the Christmas tree, which weighs approximately 23.5 tons, a reality.

Luis Pedro Ibarra, country manager for San Martín, and the mayor of San Salvador, Mario Durán, will be present at the ceremony to join attendees in this emotional moment that marks the beginning of the Christmas festivities.
The show will feature special performances by two talented women: renowned soprano Gracia González and talented pop singer Ana Lú Dada, who will delight the audience with performances full of emotion and Christmas spirit.

As in previous years, the Municipality of San Salvador Centro, under Mayor Mario Durán, has created the necessary conditions for Plaza Salvador del Mundo to once again become a family gathering place during the holiday season, in a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
The municipality will work closely with the community on cleaning activities, perimeter security, and facilitating traffic flow, thus ensuring that all visitors fully enjoy this Christmas tradition.
The lighting of the San Martín Christmas tree is an open invitation to all salvadoran families to enjoy a unique experience, filled with the warmth, flavor, and excitement that only San Martín can offer.

In addition to attending the grand opening and tree lighting, salvadorans will have the option of enjoying the show via live stream on San Martín’s social media channels, Facebook and Instagram, as @sanmartinsv.
