The Government of El Salvador reaffirms its commitment to the country’s economic development by strengthening small businesses, the fundamental basis of the national economy. As part of this vision, the Emprende 503 program was launched, an initiative that provides continuous training and key tools to boost entrepreneurship throughout the country.

The minister of Economy, María Luisa Hayem, led the launching of the program, highlighting that Emprende 503 is aimed at people with business ideas or who have already started their entrepreneurship. “The program provides tools to be able to make your ventures a reality and make them grow. You are the engine of our economy”, he said.
Hayem said that in 2024 more than 5,300 new businesses have been registered in El Salvador, a figure that reflects the economic dynamism that has been consolidating thanks to public policies focused on strengthening the productive and entrepreneurial sector.

Emprende 503 was created as a comprehensive support platform that not only provides essential knowledge, but also facilitates connections with the entrepreneurial ecosystem both nationally and internationally. This allows participants to access key support networks for the development and expansion of their businesses.
The program is free of charge and will be held every thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the National Library of El Salvador. With this new tool, the government continues its commitment to a more inclusive and innovative economy with greater opportunities for those who decide to become entrepreneurs.
