The strengthening of the Sociedades por Acciones Simplificadas (SAS) model continues to show positive results in El Salvador, especially in terms of female economic inclusion. Authorities highlighted that this type of business figure has gained a growing presence in the country and has become a gateway to formal entrepreneurship.
According to official data, more than 40% of the more than 6,000 SAS established in the territory have been created by women, which shows significant progress in female participation within the business sector.
In addition, it was reported that 70% of these companies, around 4,200, already have a bank account, a key step for their financial consolidation. This formal access to the banking system allows entrepreneurs to build credit history, a fundamental requirement to obtain financing, invest and expand their businesses.
The authorities stressed that this growth reflects the effectiveness of the legal framework that regulates the SAS and reaffirms the positive impact that these tools are having on economic revitalization, the formalization of businesses and the financial inclusion of thousands of salvadorans, especially women.
