The President of the Cámara de Comercio e Industria de El Salvador (Camarasal), Leticia Escobar, participated in the panel organized by the Federación de Cámaras de Comercio del Istmo Centroamericano (FECAMCO) on the labor market in the region.

In her speech, the President of Camarasal highlighted several key aspects for the development of the salvadoran labor market. The union leader highlighted the positive impact of strategic infrastructure projects in sectors such as manufacturing, technology, tourism, and trade.
Escobar also highlighted the need to strengthen the formalization of employment and promote technical training initiatives with regionally valid certifications, allowing a better preparation of the labor force for strategic sectors of the economy.

Regarding Camarasal’s actions to mitigate employment generation problems, Escobar emphasized the role of the Business Training Center, with more than 30 years of experience, in training employees to improve productivity and business competitiveness. She also highlighted the business formalization programs, job placement initiatives for young people and the organization of job fairs that facilitate the connection between companies and human talent.

The President also reiterated Camarasal’s commitment to continue promoting public-private alliances to strengthen labor intermediation and facilitate the insertion of more Salvadorans in the formal market.
