Entrepreneurs of the tourism sector in Sweden and key players in that country attended the promotional event “El Salvador: land of hosts”, organized by the Embassy based in Stockholm. This initiative aimed to present all the potential, attractions and unique experiences that make the nation one of the best destinations to visit.
Likewise, the business opportunities offered by the tourism industry were presented, with a view to attracting new investments, more travelers and to establish partnerships to further develop this productive activity.
“We presented a renewed and safe country, with solid infrastructure and emblematic projects, such as Surf City, among other destinations of our tourist offer, ranging from volcanoes and lakes to beaches, gastronomy, traditions and history”, said our diplomatic representative in Sweden, Patricia Godinez.
The official said that this event is part of the work and commitment carried out by the Network of Embassies, Consulates and Economic Counselors of El Salvador with a view to further strengthen ties with institutions and companies to consolidate our country as an attractive, innovative and reliable destination, both for Swedish tourists and the rest of the world. “We will continue to promote our country in Sweden, as well as in the rest of the Nordic and Baltic regions”, said Ambassador Godinez.
In this event, in which samples of the gastronomy were also offered, positive opinions were received from the attendees, who also expressed their interest in knowing or returning to the country to enjoy the transformations and everything it has to offer.
According to data from the Ministry of Tourism, in 2024, the nation received 3,956,79 international visitors. In this regard, with the actions carried out by the diplomatic, consular and economic representations, the Foreign Ministry accompanies the efforts for the growth and strengthening of this sector.
