The salvadoran banking sector reported an increase in assets, reaching US$2,696.1 million, which represents a growth of US$111.9 million (+4.3%) compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the ranking of the Asociación Bancaria Salvadoreña (ABANSA).
Banco Agrícola continues as leader in assets with US$646 million, followed by Banco Cuscatlán with US$465.8 million and Davivienda with US$370.3 million. These three banks maintain the top positions in the country’s financial sector.
In fourth place is BAC Credomatic with US$360 million, consolidating its position as one of the key players in the industry. Banco Hipotecario registered US$211.4 million, maintaining its position in the ranking.
Among the institutions with the lowest net worth are Citibank with US$43.2 million, Integral with US$39.2 million, and ABANK with US$36 million. Despite occupying the last places, all institutions show stability in their operations.
This growth in banking assets reflects the soundness of the country’s financial sector, driven by increased capital raising and confidence in the banking system.
