Salvadorans have saved US$153.76 million in interbank commissions thanks to Transfer365, the instant payment and transfer service operated by the Banco Central de Reserva. Since its launch in june 2021 until january 2025, this platform has facilitated millions of transactions at no cost to users.
The tool allows sending money between banks 365 days a year, including weekends and holidays. Its uninterrupted availability and the absence of commissions have made it the most used option, representing 88.78% of all transfers made in the country.

Since its implementation, Transfer365 has processed 68,033,414 transactions totaling US$62,811.26 million. In january 2025 alone, 3,606,959 transactions were settled for US$2,785.63 million, reflecting its consolidation as the most used system for electronic payments.
The data indicate that 23.30% of the transactions were carried out on non-working days, while 48.18% occurred outside traditional banking hours. This highlights the importance of the service for those who need to make transfers at any time of the day.

In 2022, the reach was expanded with the launch of Transfer365 Mobile, which allows money to be sent with just the recipient’s cell phone number. Since then, this service has registered 373,740 transactions for US$68.26 million, with a predominant use among women, who have made 51.2% of the movements.
Between january 2024 and January of this year, Transfer365 Móvil experienced a 120% growth in the volume of operations, reflecting a greater adoption of digital solutions for payments in the country.
