This tuesday, with a large turnout of job seekers, the Autoridad del Centro Histórico held the second edition of the Opportunities Fair at the Hula Hula market in San Salvador’s Historic Center. The event was an initiative of the Government of El Salvador and in collaboration with the organización Cesal, with the goal of promoting job inclusion and access to formal employment for the salvadoran population.

The general director of the Autoridad del Centro Histórico, Adriana Larín, highlighted the institutional commitment to these types of initiatives, which not only promote employment but also strengthen the economic dynamics of the heart of the capital.
“Thanks to all the public investment that has been made and the efforts initiated by the Government of the Republic when the president was mayor, today we can see more companies establishing themselves in the Historic Center. These fairs are a sign of the growth and opportunities that are being generated”, said Larín.

During the event, more than 400 job openings were offered by approximately 20 brands in the food and service sectors, including Wendy’s, Starbucks, Kentucky, La Clásica, and Club La Dalia, among others. Attendees were able to apply for positions such as kitchen assistants, waiters, cashiers, production workers, baristas, bartenders, and receptionists, among other positions.
The general director also emphasized the importance of the partnership with Cesal, an organization that trains young people in technical areas such as barista, cooking, and customer service, facilitating their entry into the workforce.

“This is the second Opportunity Fair we have held with Cesal, an NGO that works tirelessly to provide training and support to young salvadorans”, said Larín.
The fair was attended by many people from different parts of the country, who took advantage of the opportunity to apply for various job openings and learn about the training and employment programs promoted by the government.

With activities like this, the Autoridad del Centro Histórico and the Government of El Salvador continue to strengthen economic recovery, job inclusion, and the transformation of San Salvador’s Historic Center into a space of opportunity for all.
