The Comisión Nacional de la Micro y Pequeña Empresa (CONAMYPE) and the Government of Libertad Oeste have established an inter-institutional cooperation agreement to promote local economic development and improve conditions for micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in the region. The goal of this agreement is to consolidate a strategic alliance that will create a favorable environment for the growth of these businesses in the area, thus strengthening the local economy and improving the quality of life of the inhabitants.
One of the main initiatives of this agreement is the joint preparation of a Local Economic Development Plan for the municipality of Libertad Oeste. This plan will include high-impact projects and programs that will be focused on benefiting the five districts of the locality: Colón, Jayaque, Sacacoyo, Tepecoyo and Talnique. With a comprehensive vision, the plan will address the needs and potential of each of these districts, directing resources and strategies to generate tangible and sustainable benefits.
The agreement will also focus on strengthening key areas such as the environment, agribusiness, finance and trade. This multifaceted approach seeks not only to improve the competitiveness of MSEs, but also to protect and use natural resources in a responsible manner. To this end, initiatives will be implemented to promote sustainable practices and ensure a balance between economic growth and care for the environment.
In addition, the agreement prioritizes the creation of value chains and productive linkages, essential elements to boost the local economy. To achieve this objective, actions such as technical assistance, training, and specialized advisory services will be developed for the region’s MSEs. These activities will enable small entrepreneurs to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to increase their productivity and improve the quality of their products and services.
The agreement between CONAMYPE and the Government of Libertad Oeste represents an important step towards the revitalization of the local economy and the inclusion of MSEs in a stronger productive system. With the support of both institutions, the municipality has the opportunity to become a benchmark for development and prosperity, where economic growth is aligned with environmental responsibility and social welfare.
