Bimbo turns every step into food, donating over 44,000 slices of bread to the El Banco de Alimentos de El Salvador

Grupo Bimbo delivered 44,928 slices of protein-enriched white bread to the Banco de Alimentos de El Salvador, following the participation of 2,220 salvadoran runners in the 2026 Bimbo Global Race, held on september 27 at Multiplaza.

The donation was presented in the context of World Food Day, illustrating the impact that solidarity can have when transformed into action. Every individual who took part in the Bimbo Global Race helped the initiative go beyond the finish line, turning their effort into food for individuals and families struggling to access adequate nutrition. In this way, every kilometer covered takes on a special meaning, becoming an opportunity to share, join forces, and contribute to the well-being of the communities that need it most.

Under the motto “Sharing the Good”, the Bimbo Global Race continues to establish itself as a movement where every registration contributes to a common cause. In El Salvador, the response from runners made it possible to reach the participation goal and surpass 44,000 slices of bread donated to the Banco de Alimentos.

In 2026, the race was held simultaneously in more than 35 cities around the world, with Santiago, Chile, serving as the primary host city, further cementing the event as a prime example of how sports can create a positive, lasting impact on society.
