El Salvador seeks to expand its investment opportunities and strengthen its commercial ties with Brazil through a working mission led by the salvadoran ambassador to Brazil, Luis Aparicio, in the state of Minas Gerais. The agenda included meetings with business organizations, outreach to representatives of the industrial sector, and a business forum designed to showcase El Salvador’s economic potential to prospective partners and investors.
The initiative was aimed at positioning El Salvador as a strategic destination for establishing businesses, developing productive projects, and exploring opportunities for cooperation. Through these engagements, the country aims to broaden its connections with the Brazilian business sector and create the conditions for future commercial and investment partnerships.
A key meeting took place with the Associação Comercial e Empresarial de Minas (ACMinas), involving discussions with entrepreneurs from sectors such as education, commerce, infrastructure, investment, and real estate development. During the meeting, the opportunities El Salvador offers for establishing companies, executing projects, and forming alliances between firms from both countries were highlighted.

The agenda also included a meeting with the Federação das Indústrias do Estado de Minas Gerais (FIEMG) to present the conditions of the salvadoran market and explore potential industrial and commercial cooperation initiatives. Discussions emphasized El Salvador’s strategic location in Central America, its logistics infrastructure, its free trade zones, and its industrial parks as key points of interest for potential investors.
Another focal point of the visit was the El Salvador Business and Investment Forum, held at the Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets (IBMEC) in coordination with the Foreign Trade Chamber of Minas Gerais (CAEMG). The event served to showcase the country’s economic potential and foster connections among business and institutional representatives interested in exploring new commercial opportunities.
As part of the mission, the Salvadoran delegation also met with representatives from the Federação das Associações Comerciais e Empresariais do Estado de Minas Gerais (Federaminas), CAEMG, and LIDE Minas Gerais Triângulo. The agenda focused on expanding commercial relations, identifying investment opportunities, and facilitating connections between salvadoran and brazilian companies to boost the exchange of products and services.

In addition to commercial promotion, the mission included initiatives to showcase El Salvador as a tourist destination. This strategy aims to complement the country’s economic outreach and present opportunities related both to the development of productive activities and to investment in the tourism sector.
The visit to Minas Gerais is part of El Salvador’s international promotion efforts to diversify its economic relations, attract capital, and expand its connections with strategic markets. While these meetings represent opportunities for engagement rather than finalized investments, they allow for the presentation of what the country has to offer and help identify potential areas for collaboration with the brazilian business sector.
