The U.S. Embassy in San Salvador announced the launch of its new online platform to schedule appointments and make visa payments. This new system will bring improvements and optimizes the efficiency and accessibility of visa services for the public in El Salvador. This new platform is accompanied by a new call center.
Starting today, the process to schedule a visa appointment and pay the fee will be managed through a new website. Applicants can visit our official website, where they will find the updated link: https://ais.usvisa-info.com . This new system makes it easier and faster to schedule appointments and make payments by credit or debit card. For those who prefer to pay in cash, they should follow the instructions on the same website to obtain a unique payment identification number (PIN) and go to an authorized AirPak branch to make the payment.
It is important to note that appointments already scheduled remain valid and the visa processing fee remains the same. Applicants with immigrant visa appointments should create a profile and register their scheduled appointment on the new website to ensure proper return of their visa passports and receipt of additional documents if required.
Applicants with nonimmigrant visa appointments only need to register on the new website if they want to modify their appointments, or if they want to receive their documents at home or at one of the “Premium” branches.
The call center numbers for answering questions have also changed: the local number is 2230 4894 and the U.S. number is 703-988-3615. The Skype number is live:.cid.74ffe607ca82215. The new e-mail address is ElSalvador.Visas@gdit-gss.com
It is also reported that DHL is now the new courier service for the secure delivery of documents. Documents for interviews conducted before september 19 can be picked up at Cargo Expreso’s premium branches until october 14 and at the Santa Fe branch until october 16. For interviews scheduled after september 19, documents will be delivered via DHL.
