Fuel prices experience increases ranging from US$0.05 to US$0.06 in El Salvador, for the period from july 23 to august 5, 2024, being this equivalent to an increase in expenses for salvadoran drivers.
Among the new reference prices launched by the Dirección General de Energía, Hidrocarburos y Minas (DGEHM) are the higher gasoline, which shows an increase of US$0.06 in the Central Zone being equivalent to US$4.30 per gallon, it shows an increase of US$0.05 in the Western Zone representing a value of US$4.30 per gallon and the Eastern Zone the price increases to US$4.34.
Likewise, the price of regular gasoline will have an increase of US$0.06 throughout the country and its price in the Central Zone is US$4.07, in the Western Zone US$4.08 and in the Eastern Zone its cost is US$4.11.
The price of diesel in the Central Zone remains at US$3.78.
Diesel in the Western and Eastern Zone will increase its cost by US$0.01, leaving the prices as follows: Western Zone US$3.79 and Eastern Zone US$3.83.
