The equity reached US$2,509.1 million in june 2024, which represents an increase of 2.5%, equivalent to US$61.4 million, compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the updated report of the Asociación Bancaria Salvadoreña (ABANSA), on the banking ranking.
In relation to the largest equity balances, Banco Agrícola is ranked 1st with an amount of US$596.6 million, second is Banco Cuscatlan with US$443.9 million, third is Banco Davivienda with US$362.2 million, followed by BAC Credomatic with a balance of US$352.2 million, and fifth is Banco Hipotecario with US$198.8 million.
In the last positions is the Banco Fomento Agropecuario with US$68.6 million, followed by Citibank N.A. with a balance of US$41.8 million and Abank with an amount of US$33.4 million.
It should be noted that the total amount of assets among the different banks for the month of june 2023 was US$2,447.7 million, while for june 2024 there was an increase with a total of US$2,509.1 million.
The financial indicators show that in the after-tax period the average net worth had a downward trend from 13.8% to 13.6%.
