La Constancia and the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey celebrate the graduation of a group of store-owner clients who successfully completed the “La Constancia Entrepreneurs, Progresando Juntos” program. This initiative, which ran from september 2024 to june 2025, aims to strengthen the company’s business partners by recognizing the important role of stores in the salvadoran economy.
Stores in El Salvador are a fundamental pillar for the country, representing 7.4% of economic units in the commerce sector and generating more than 50,000 jobs, equivalent to 7.2% of employment in this sector. In these businesses, beer is one of the most important categories, accounting for nearly 15% of revenue and is a key product. It is estimated that of every 1,000 jobs in stores, 170 are supported by beer sales.
The new graduates join a group of more than 2,300 clients trained in the training program, designed by experts from Tecnológico de Monterrey. The program offered participants training in areas such as Finance, Operations, Leadership, and Digitalization through micro-learning capsules.
“At La Constancia, we reaffirm our principle that we grow hand in hand with our customers. Today we celebrate another graduation of shop owners who completed the business skills course, taught in partnership with the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey, a prestigious institution. This program was designed to provide them with tools and knowledge that allow them to adopt best practices”, said Javier Benavides, Reputation and Sustainability manager.
This effort is part of La Constancia’s principle as a Macroentrepreneurial company, which grows with its customers. By offering these tools and knowledge, the company reaffirms its commitment to helping shop owners strengthen their businesses and build a prosperous and sustainable future for themselves and their families.
Through this program, shop owners also receive support in crucial areas such as finance, inventory management, and others. This comprehensive strategy seeks not only to train but also to empower entrepreneurs. The graduation of these entrepreneurs is not only an individual achievement, but also a triumph for the economic development of El Salvador.
