The Dirección de Obras Municipales (DOM) has announced a new construction project on Poza Verde beach, located on Lake Ilopango, in the district of San Miguel Tepezontes, La Paz Centro. This initiative seeks to boost the economic and tourism development of the area by improving an already popular destination for salvadoran families.
The investment in this new infrastructure aims to create a safer, more orderly, and comfortable space for visitors, which is expected to increase the flow of tourists and, consequently, benefit local businesses. The DOM emphasized that admission to the new complex will be free, a measure that seeks to democratize access to tourism and ensure that a greater number of people can enjoy the benefits of this investment.
This project joins the government’s efforts to boost tourism as an engine of economic growth for the country. Authorities have stated that they will continue working to ensure that more tourist destinations in El Salvador have the necessary infrastructure to attract visitors, which will boost local economies and generate new opportunities.
