The Expo Empleo El Constructor will be a meeting point for companies from different areas of the construction sector and individuals looking for employment or to improve their current position.
With the goal of boosting employability in the construction industry, MULTICOM S.A. de C.V. will hold the first edition of this specialized employment event for the construction industry.
The Expo Empleo El Constructor will take place on sunday, september 28, at the Sports Center of the Universidad Centroamericana José Simeón Cañas (UCA), from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
“Producciones MULTICOM is committed to stimulating and energizing the construction industry, and we believe that connecting companies and workers is fundamental. People need jobs, and companies are looking for labor to continue developing their projects”, says Guillermo Noubleau, General Director of MULTICOM.
A large group of the best construction companies will be available to meet their staffing needs at all levels and receive resumes from those interested in hiring.
This call for proposals has the support of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, as well as construction sector workers’ unions.
Among the companies that will be present are: Grupo Roble, COSAMA (Representative of John Deere), Sherwin Williams, FUNDASAL, LABTOP, VOLTOR, PROYECTOS MODULARES, AFP CRECER, Distribuidora Centroamericana de Lubricantes DCL, COMDI San Pablo, and TECNISERVICIOS H DOS MIL.
Likewise, institutions from the construction sector will be present: the Sindicato Unión de Trabajadores de la Construcción – SUTC, Sindicato de Obreros de la Industria de la Construcción, Similares y Conexos de El Salvador – SOICSCES, Cooperativa Financiera de Ingenieros y Arquitectos – ACOINCI, as well as various professional associations and representatives from the country’s engineering and architecture faculties.
This will serve to generate a specialized job pool for the construction sector, which will be available to participating companies so that attendees can expand their opportunities to be seen, evaluated, and hired.
The meeting will feature a day of technical talks addressing practical topics of interest to job seekers.
The job opening will include family amenities: a clown show, games, activities, food, and music for the enjoyment of attendees and their families.
The construction industry has the virtue of being one of the main generators of paid employment in the country. It is currently estimated to generate more than 200,000 direct jobs, representing approximately 8% of the country’s workforce, according to data from the Banco Central de Reserva (BCR).
The construction sector has established itself as the most dynamic sector in the salvadoran economy, with an average growth of 22.3%, according to the latest data from the Banco Central de Reserva (BCR).
