Hyundai Electronics, , a global technology and consumer electronics brand with more than 77 years of experience in the global market, announces the consolidation of its operations in Central America and the Caribbean with the official arrival in El Salvador, together with its strategic partner Electroglobal.
Internationally recognized for its innovation and quality, the company began its expansion in Latin America 16 years ago in Colombia, from where it has driven its growth into key markets such as Peru, Mexico, and Central America. Currently, these three countries represent 32.6% of its regional operations, reflecting the strategic importance of the region for Hyundai Electronics.
In 2014, Hyundai Electronics opened a production plant in Pereira, Colombia, with the capacity to manufacture up to 700,000 televisions per year. From there, it manages production, software updates, quality control, warehousing, and distribution throughout Latin America. In 2023 alone, this plant exported more than 108,000 televisions, including shipments to Central America and the Caribbean, reaffirming its role as a regional manufacturing and logistics hub.

“El Salvador is a vibrant and growing market, with consumers who value quality technology and design. With the arrival of our new televisions, we want to offer experiences that combine innovation, connectivity, and accessibility, thus strengthening our commitment to the Central American region”, said Natalia Peláez Valencia, marketing director for Latin America at Hyundai Electronics.
The company is introducing its latest generation of televisions in the country with Google TV built-in, an operating system that offers easy access to apps, favorite content, and personalized recommendations, in addition to the convenience of voice control. With sizes ranging from 32 to 58 inches, the televisions are designed to fit any space in the home, offering stunning images with a modern and elegant design.
“Electroglobal is proud to be a partner of Hyundai Electronics in El Salvador. We are convinced that this new line of televisions will meet the expectations of salvadoran consumers, providing advanced technology and competitive prices that enrich the home experience”, said Juan Manuel De La Roca, commercial manager at Electroglobal.
