President Nayib Bukele announced tonight the official launch of DoctorSV App, an innovative healthcare system assisted by artificial intelligence, developed in partnership with Google Cloud and presented alongside Guy Nae, Director for the Public Sector in Latin America, and Pablo Bartol, Manager of Social and Human Development at Agenda CAF.
During the national address, the president emphasized that this new system marks a turning point in access to public healthcare in El Salvador, allowing any citizen to receive medical attention free of charge, without having to travel long distances or wait until the next day for an appointment.

Immediate and free medical care
The DoctorSV App will allow salvadorans to:
• Connect with a doctor via video call 24/7
• Receive their diagnosis and prescription directly in the app
• Obtain free medications at more than 350 partner pharmacies
• Access more than 75 clinical laboratories at no cost
• Undergo studies at more than 35 imaging centers
All of this is supported by an AI system that improves diagnostic accuracy, reaching levels of over 90% accuracy, according to Google Cloud.

A more precise, faster, and humane medical experience
Guy Nae, director of Google Cloud, explained that this is one of the first major projects resulting from the partnership with El Salvador.
“The system is bringing technology and medicine closer to the people. It’s a way to improve lives by providing 24/7 medical care”, he noted.
He also highlighted that the DoctorSV App integrates a feedback system where each patient can evaluate the care they received, allowing for continuous improvements in doctors, laboratories, and pharmacies.
Paco Cuevas, Principal Architect for Google Cloud Healthcare, explained that AI doesn’t replace doctors, but rather empowers them by providing real-time data, key questions, and risk analysis. “Artificial intelligence frees doctors from repetitive tasks and allows them to offer warmer, more humane care”, he said.

A system that benefits the entire public health network
President Bukele stated that this project guarantees excellent care for the population by monitoring the quality of service provided by doctors through automated analyses and patient evaluations.
He also noted that the DoctorSV App will reduce the burden on hospitals and health units, benefiting even those who do not use the application.

Start of deployment
The system will begin operating by initially serving citizens between 18 and 30 years old, progressively expanding to the rest of the population.
With the DoctorSV App, El Salvador becomes one of the first countries in the world to offer free, AI-powered digital healthcare through a government platform accessible to all.
