The Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Labor Mobility Program has facilitated over 1,800 temporary employment opportunities for salvadorans in the United States, as part of the government’s strategy to promote regular, safe, and orderly migration and expand development opportunities for workers and their families.
Within this framework, the Ministry held a talent interview and selection event on January 28 and 29, in which over 380 candidates interested in working in the U.S. hotel industry participated. The interviews were conducted by the company “All Star Services,” which is seeking to hire salvadoran personnel for positions such as cooks, maintenance technicians, cleaning staff, and receptionists.
The Vice Minister of Diaspora and Human Mobility, Patricia Godínez, emphasized that the program is a strategic initiative aimed at generating job opportunities, strengthening partnerships with foreign companies, and ensuring ethical recruitment processes. She underscored that the government is working to guarantee adequate working conditions and full respect for the rights of Salvadoran workers participating in these temporary employment programs.
Godínez reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting regular and safe migration through agreements with responsible companies. In this context, she highlighted the partnership with All Star Services, a company operating in more than 10 U.S. states that has expressed interest in salvadoran workers due to their performance and work ethic.
Company representative Christian Blocker stated that the hotels and businesses they work with have expressed satisfaction with the Salvadoran workers, highlighting their commitment and dedication. Additionally, during the event, participants received guidance on identifying and reporting fraudulent job offers abroad, as part of efforts to prevent irregular migration.
The participants expressed their enthusiasm for accessing these job opportunities. Mayra Aguilar, one of the applicants, noted that the program represents a gateway to improving their living conditions, experiencing new cultures, and providing financial support to their families.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that it will continue expanding partnerships with international companies and strengthening the Labor Mobility Program, with the goal of creating more temporary employment opportunities abroad under safe and transparent conditions, and with full respect for the rights of salvadoran workers.
