
The funds will be allocated to the operation called “Segundo Financiamiento Adicional al Proyecto Crecer y Aprender Juntos: Desarrollo Integral de la Primera Infancia en El Salvador”, an initiative that seeks to improve the quality of early childhood education services and ensure that schools have the necessary equipment for the cognitive and physical development of students from their earliest years.

It will also strengthen the institutional capacity for managing the education sector.
This program consolidates public policies aimed at the comprehensive development of Salvadoran children from their earliest years, as part of a long-term strategy to strengthen the national education system.
The authorization to manage the loan was granted by the legislators on january 29, and the agreement was signed on february 11 by the Ministry of Finance and the international organization.
The loan agreement states that the repayment term will be up to 25 years, including a four-year and six-month grace period, and will be amortized through semi-annual installments.
The financial terms established a reference interest rate plus a variable margin, an initial commission of 0.25% of the total amount, and an annual commitment fee of 0.25% on undisbursed balances.
