The Ministry of Labor announced the launch of Up Digital, an initiative aimed at reaching 2,500 young salvadorans through job placement services, facilitating their access to employment opportunities in the digital sector.
According to the ministry, this program seeks to directly connect young talent with companies seeking candidates in technology fields, making it a key initiative to promote youth employment in a market increasingly oriented toward digitalization.
Through Up Digital, participants will be eligible for opportunities in fields such as web application development, design and multimedia, artificial intelligence, and other emerging digital specialties—sectors that currently have high demand for qualified professionals.

The program is specifically focused on young people seeking their first digital job, which is why the Ministry is making the Plataforma Oportunidades available, where they will receive career guidance, support, and direct connections with companies offering better working conditions.
In addition to job placement, the initiative aims to strengthen digital startups, with the goal of benefiting an additional 200 young people who wish to develop their own technology projects.

The Ministry also noted that companies participating in the program will have access to benefits and institutional support, which facilitates the hiring of qualified talent and promotes the growth of the country’s digital ecosystem.
Officials emphasized that Up Digital addresses the need to adapt the skills of the young population to the demands of today’s market, thereby fostering new opportunities for economic and professional development in El Salvador.
